I urged my readers to check out this new restaurant and sports bar that opened on 2nd avenue in the downtown marina area of Fort Pierce. Jo-Jo's like 13A Buoy has mostly a  seafood menu but I did have a cheeseburger and now Jo-Jo's is my favorite burger place in Fort Pierce.

Last Saturday(1/10/09) I had a meal at the new restaurant at 22 Fisherman's Wharf. The new restaurant is called 12A Buoy. Like the last restaurant the main focus will be on seafood dishes. The new owners Katie and James who are also owners of 'The Main Ingredient' a well known catering service in Fort Pierce, are pretty good at making the customer feel at home. I ordered their steak dinner a nice sirloin with garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli. I also ordered a side salad. I am happy to say that 12A Buoy cooks a pretty good steak and it was cooked the way I like it: pink in the middle. Also the salad had a wide range of colors and ingredients and that is how I like my salads.

I can heartily recommend a meal at 12A Buoy and hope that enough people will give the restaurant a chance. Those who have read my weekly emails know that I usually prefer small local owned restaurants rather than the big franchise restaurants. 

At this point I don't know what is going to happen to this website. If you know any restaurant owners who would like some internet exposure I would be happy to visit their restaurant unannounced and if the restaurant is worth writing something good about I will give their place a plug.
