HairPeace Plays

HairPeace is a modern folk/rock band featuring Chrystine (Vocals, Guitar, Harmonica, and Tambourine) and Ray (Vocals, Guitar and Mandolin).  The name Hairpeace comes from a sign that loomed in the background to a picture celebrating the famous 1969 Yoko Ono and John Lennon “Bed-in for Peace” event.

The band got started when Ray and Chrystine met 14 years ago at Indian River Community College in the college choir. By this time Ray still “longed for the bright lights and loud guitars of a hard rock band. Meanwhile Chrystine had toured with the “Up with People” singing group.  Eventually they teamed up and took their dreams in a different direction.

Ray and Chrystine enjoyed blending their harmonies together and eventually collaborated with the writing and lyrics of some memorable songs in three records.

HairPeace plays mostly Folk-Rock, bluegrass and Americana (alternative country).  They have been influenced by Bob Dillon, groups like the Indigo girls and Lyle Lovett.

HairPeace has produced the following CD’s:

1.      No Relation.

2.      Season of free.

3.      It’s a long way back.
